pikeys dog Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 After much speculation, I was today informed that Sheridan's has been sold, and is now closed for refurbishment until further notice. The new owner said he would like to carry on with some 'Soul' nights, but seemed very 'money' orientated, so I can't see this happening anytime in the future. Regrettably, this now means that this weekends 'Back Beat' All-nighter has had to be cancelled. Please pass this information on to anyone who you know may be likely to travel to Sheridan's. I can only apologise to all those looking forward to this event, and stress that it was entirely beyond the control of 'Back Beat' promotions. Hopefully, I will be able to announce a new venue for 'Back Beat' shortly. As an alternative this weekend I would recommend visiting the Samantha's All-nighter, where there are two rooms of Northern Soul, one Oldies and the other a mixture of current styles including 'R&B'.
