Phil link hello phil in answer to your question i do possess act like you know. great song but then so are all of them. just heard him wow. when i think of you did reach the top twenty unable to verify what position but i feel yours is correct. liverpool needs kenny, met him three times at liverpool show courtesy of city fm. what a guy. should be a god. cooltempo have no right keeping this mans work as good as it is on the shelve have they no taste. cheers vikki. ps. new member love this site
Guest Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 This is my first post on this site so I hope i have got it right. Act Like You Know is a demo track which is often performed by Kenny at his personal appearances it made it's way onto the net and thus many people have a copy, ( not to say thats how anyone came by a copy of course). It was never on the 3rd LP just something that was being played around with and still is. Him however was part of the 3rd LP it was co written by Jonathan Butler and the recording you hear is with a special 30 part studio band. It seams the age of the internet has both helped and held up Kenny, Crazy World was not due for a release in just that format when it came out on Su Su Records but due to it getting on the net again forced a quick reaction. I hope this helps.

Guest Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 (edited) thanks for the info on the website...taken a look what can i say about his pic? Has he realised his mistake about going on Hit me baby one more time? he looks full of worry, poor lad...or maybe its the threat of being run over by that bloke on the Honda C90? Thinking about your love? thinking about moving ur ass out of the way more like Phil ps, on a serious note, i wouldnt be interested in seeing Kenny at the HMBOMT gigs, as i really thought it was a backward move for KT...i know it highlighted his career once more, but i felt it was degrading..i dont want him to be sandwiched in between Shakin Sh*tleg Stevens and Carol "had a few double" deckers.... Phil link Hi, according to Kenny's Management company they are trying to resolve some technical problems at the moment and are waiting for some archive footage / Clips from EMI which they want to put on the site. As soon as they get this the site will be ready to go online. I've been checking that site just about every day to no avail.
Guest cC B Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 This was the first time ever I've heard Kenny Thomas, but despite being a lover of sweet and mellow 70s and 80s soul music (unlike a lot of you northern folks I suspect) - I thought it was rubbish No offence - each to their own etc. Just my opinion that's all. Cheers, Christian B PS! Can anyone supply a RA of his "Crazy world" biggie? Haven't heard that one either Thanks in advance!

Guest Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 hello all, i dont know how i managed to find this forum, but i did. let me firstly upset everyone on here and say im only here for one reason, thats kenny thomas.... ive been a fan since the beginning, but finding any information about him on the net is really difficult! come on ken, wheres ya webiste? been lucky enough to catch him live twice (once at town and country club in leeds and one pa in barnsley) i have downloaded the Him track this morning and its now on my phone lol..great to hear new music, even if its erm,,,, old i saw kenny on HMBOMT and i have to say it was fantastic to see him, although he looked very nervous...he really should have beaten 911. I think i managed to get hold of a track from the scrapped third album...i have a track called Act like you know? maybe thats not the proper title? Does anyone else know how to get hold of a full version of Him, or if Kenny is touring this year? Would love to hear from any of his fans Cheers Phil link HIM is now out on vinyl. you can get a copy through Crazy Beat Records and Soul Brother Records. For info on Kenny go to his website: www.kennythomasmusic.co.uk or send email to mentalmusicmgt@aol.com

If you only want 'Him' it is available on Street Soul vol 2 CD comp album at Crazybeat or ebay at the moment. However the 12" gives you a remix of Crazy World. Dowhatulike!

Guest catface Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 My husband prefers "Thinking about Your Love" from the "Voices" album but I enjoyed "Him" when it was played at Plinston.
Guest Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Well, ended up going to Chics in Bolton on friday with Jules to see the Kennster and what a night! Kenny did 5 songs, Outstanding, Thinking about your love, Act like you know, Crazy world and Trippin on your love.......... not the best sound system in the world as it was drowning kennys vocals out, which was obviously not impressing him as he kept signalling to the DJ..quite amusing!! As per the norm with these PAs, you always get a few d*ckheads heckling but credit to Kenny, he delivered a tight routine and doing these sort of things short term wont harm his profile... I have to say, we were lucky enough to meet hm afterwards and it was refreshing to actually meet someone who was down to earth and sincere..unlike a couple of singers i have had dealings with in the past! I dont think Jules will be washing for a year as she kept reminding me she had kissed him 4 times.....the poof! (her, not him!) Big shout to his manager Gary, top bloke! Phil
