A Raketa Atom. 21 jewels Space age/atomic design. lovely patination on the champagne face. Works perfect. I once read an interesting booklet about Russian/Soviet watchmaking. They used to buy clapped out Swiss watch making equipment (actually bartering with oil, wheat, coal, etc.) to get their industry kick started.
Chris L Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Always been a softie for Tissot, bought this 'daily wearer' last night in Germany, am on the look-out for PR 516 too, will take my time looking, has a couple of crackers but during a knobben-headum moment sold them both. 1

Chris L Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 I bought one of these about 4 years ago and stupidly sold it after about 2 months (scale 9 on the Big Dummy-O-Meter). However...................managed to track me down another today 1

Billy Jo Jim Bob Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Nice frugal came in. Bulova Lunar Pilot - a homage to the Apollo space mission where astronaut Dave Scott had to replace his non-functioning Omega provided by NASA with his own personal Bulova whilst in space. It worked perfectly. Whilst this will cost you 400 quid or so, the original Dave Scott watch sold recently for $1.6M 2
Mick Boyle Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Had to buy my wife this one as it’s the same year as her 1964, she has a few quality watches but this is her goto one.

I wear mine quite often (wearing it now actually). 1
