Guest Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I've taken someone's advice, closed the old thread, and started a new one. I'm selling some of my collection off this way. I have done ten sets of these so far, and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, has been delighted with them. Others may do a soul pack cheaper, but nothing like the quality that I can do here. 300 all different for £300 300 records will be a complete across the board mix of 60s, 70s and 80s. Three quarters US labels, one quarter UK, but including some good sixties UK labels. Some very rare obscure tiny little labels, but some classic soul too. Lots and lots of twenty quiders in there, but the odd Gladys Knight or Chi-Lites too. But mostly, nothing worth less than a fiver. The combined value of the 300 records will be at least £1000 if they were sold separately. Some of the records will be worth at least twenty quid each. All from my own personal collection. I still have eighty thousand left, and most of those came from a warehouse in St. Louis, one that no UK record dealer had ever been through all the stuff, so there are tons of odddball little label rarities included. 300 all different for £300, no duplication. Postage comes to about £35 though, unless you want to collect them and bring your own boxes. So total on the cheque should be £335. I can do up to 600 all different if anyone wants more while this amazing bargain is on offer - I'm only doing it cos I need the cash to pay for all the video editing on my new album. Look at it this way - if a quarter of them are worth a tenner each, it doesn't matter if there are a few Temptations or James Brown records thrown in, because the overall collected value is worth so so so much more than what I'm charging, but I still have eighty thousand seven inches here. I even threw at least ten extra into each set, plus twenty extra for the couple of people who had 600 off me - remember I paid more for these records than I'm selling them for.

Sorry Ian, if you get censured for this then I won't be surprised. But I have sold and delivered all the packs that people ordered. So I'm starting anew - brand new packs not yet sorted. The other ten have been sold now, done and dusted, These are all new records. Anyway it sounded like a good suggestion - I never thought it may offend anyone.

I'm just saying, they bought in a new rule to stop people bumping their sales to the top constantly. I hope you sell loads.

But firstly I haven't bumped anything. Secondly, whereas most people are selling one, two or maybe five records, I'm letting Soul Source members have the bargain of a lifetime by personally selecting them wonderful sets of 300 records out of my own personal collection at the ridiculous price of a quid each. I am not a dealer, I'm doing this at a loss, and it's taking up a great deal of time too, and it's of great benefit for members of Soul Source, especially ones who want to build up their collections, so, having been bumped down to page three, I closed the old thread, which really was there for the ten sets I have already sold, and opened up this new one for new future sets which haven't yet been ordered. Each set is different, so therefore it's a whole new sale, and a whole new different set of records. Makes sense ???

But I have been pulling out everything worthwhile, and I have a couple more wonderful superb value packs of 300 ready for anyone else who wants to invest in a bargain that will never be repeated in history.

If you are a young soul fan and want to build a collection then i'd say snatch Ian's hands off. This deal is mega. Northern, soul, funk, rare groove, this pack has the lot. I'm over the moon with mine and can't recommend this deal enough. Paul.

I know for a fact I'm able to do the best bargain that any of you can ever get, but some people are just cynical, or need too much persuasion. I'd like to hope that the quality of the records that I'm giving out here speaks for itself. Thankyou again.

You won't be sorry. i posted a request, must have been on the last thread, to ask if the people who bought were happy with the buy i have had only One PM, and he wasnt happy and neither was his friend. ? his advice was to stay clear.......... it may be that the people who didnt respond were happy ? shep
