The old water Geezer by The Ascots or the fantastic and very touching Doris Troy - I'll Do Anything, which of course is about a young bride telling her newly married husband that he can do her up the trumpet.

We had:

I'm The One To Do It - Lavern Baker

Because Of You - Jackie Wilson

Just Loving You - Ruby Andrew

I'll Be Loving You - Soul Brothers Six

Plus, a wedding night at the 100 Club!

A bit cheesy, but said everything that we wanted to say.

Good luck Kev & Sharon - hope Saturday is absolutely wonderful.

My Proposal would be an obvious one but in the real world have a listen to Percy Sledge - Come Softly to Me- Also Tony Owens-Confessin' a Feeling on Cotillion

Hand out the Hankies

Bet yer!

All pretty upbeat tempo but think the sentiment is more than there in the lyrics of all these :shades:

Don't Say Maybe Baby ~ The Capitols

Hand It Over ~ Chuck Jackson

Because Of You ~ Jackie Wilson (although I think that's been said before, I adore it)

Oh..and congratulations to the happy couple.

Have a great day !

On that theme, how about 'Great Day' by the Magic Tones?

Or 'Live Up To What She Thinks' by the Fantastic Four?

Mind you, I was hoping to save these both for my own nuptuals, because the lyrics put all the pressure on the groom to behave and none on the bride, which is fine by me.

My brother and Fiona had Peggy Gaines as their first dance. Top choice.

A couple I used to work with in London, had U 2 - I Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For. The mother of the bride was orbital!

LOL - you two are terrible!! :D

funny though, that was the first that sprang to my mind..

'nothin' but a heartache was 2nd...

Seriously, I'd love to do that.. have something so very inappropriate. It would be so funny.

Its funny, in years gone by, threads like this would have had 25 immediate replies all naming Guitar Ray.

Are we a bunch of romantics nowadays?

We got married in July ( both 2nd time) and our playlist went like this

Roy C - Shotgun Wedding - (For a laugh While we were waiting for Denise to arrive , went over most peoples heads that one!)

Jesse James - At Last - (when she arrived and walked down)

Little Stevie - Contract on Love - (after we signed the book thing)

Shades of Blue - Oh How Happy - ( when we walked out)

to be honest about 95% of the people there had never heard any of these before , so didn't know what the fook we were on about

but it meant a lot to us

anyway good luck

Cheers
