Guest catface Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Went to see the play at Hammersmith last night and really enjoyed it. Saw it last year but the cast are different this time. Lee Oaks from 2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps played Eugene and was really good. The guy who played Danny was good looking so that was a bonus. Did anyone else go to see it? I wonder what they thought? My husband really enjoyed it and he isn't even into soul so that says something! Bit of a trek back from Hammersmith to Essex though!
Guest Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 We caught the matinee perfomance and even though there wasn;t that many people there I very much enjoyed it. Personally Lee Oaks as 'speed freak' Eugene was an inspired peice of casting. Very friendly chap who along with the rest of the cast joined people in the bar for drinks (and cigarettes) after the show. She Who Must Be Obeyed surprised me and brought tickets for the show, as she said 'to see what this bl**dy Northern Soul thing's all about'. Sad, funny (Eugene's discovery of the unexpected side-effects of speed on male genitalia) and entertaining, if it's playing near you, go see it. Se¡n
Guest andys165 Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 The Walls of Heartache mob went over from Walthamstow - good night out. Still hoping someone will post the 'playlist' from the play itself - see posting slighty further down this forum. Andy
