Pete S Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) Yesterday I discovered that a well known cheapie, Kent Meade, was now £50 upwards, same happened with that 2 bob rubbish Stanky 2 years back, suddenly became in demand...anyway, anything I'm not sure about, I stick them on ebay and start them off at £5. There's one of these £5 records that is currently up at £71 and I honestly have no idea why. Can anyone enlighten me? scan below Edited February 12, 2009 by Pete S

Sebastian Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I honestly have no idea why. Can anyone enlighten me? Most likely because it's a pretty rare 45 that features the phenomenal deep soul side "If I Ever Needed Your Love". It has been selling for £100+ for years.
Guest Gogs Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0374049795& what about this one pete, and you can get it of JM for a tenner, i just think the prices are all wonky at the moment. and with low interest rates for your saving in the bank people are maybe investing in vinyl. gogs

Sebastian Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Never heard of it before ... maybe I should play it! If you like screaming deep soul you definitely should.

Might be wrong though.
Dylan Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 the flip is fantastic and on quality and rarity no suprise at all to see this at nearly 100 quid. uptempo side is pretty good to my ears as well. is this label rarer than the del nita ?

Can anyone enlighten me? scan below I used to be surprised by $5 being now $100 records but the truth is that there are no more "common" records (45s at least). All 45s are now rare and hard to find. Any demand on them will instantly push up the value from $5.
