Guest Bicks Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Big tunes come and big tunes go but one song stays in the top ten every time. It's not a cool tune, it's not trendy and you can pick it up for pennies, but it's as good a slice of the seventies as you'll hear, a guaranteed dancer as well. Street People - I Wanna Spend My Whole Life With You.

Imagine being in the studio when they recorded it! cant say which to put first ,this or the van dykes, the fidels and danny wagner, jimmy and vella and linda jones'just cant..the tomangoes was there too and lester tipton, others are omitted purely because i,ve forgotten so i hate the idea of choosin ten,see i,ve changed me bloody mind already ,1st ,for now and never lower than 3rd,..or fourth maybe, the van dykes.although.....
Neil Self Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 George Blackwell - Can't Lose My Head - Smoke has alway's been in my top ten possibly holding the number one slot, the record has it all and pretty much sums up for me what it's all about, close to perfection. Regards - Mark Bicknell. Have to agree with you on this one Mark, sadly I've never owned a copy and it's top of my wants list. just love the record to bits. I have fond memories of this being massive at Wigan and where line "clap your hands, won't you clap em for me" appears, the place used to be filled with every dancer clapping along to the beat, I get goosepimples thinking about it as I type. the perfect record in my eyes. best Neil
