Dave Moore Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Think someone's actually bid on this? Not get many backdrops done on it eh? Ooh Err!
Guest Nick Harrison Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Think someone's actually bid on this? Not get many backdrops done on it eh? Ooh Err! No Dave, you would have to buy the other 20 plus authentic samed sized portions, and then I dont think that's enough..... . If I read the newspaper cutting correctly - each piece sold at £10.00 and then this piece starts bidding off at £50.00......bloody shocking and someone has already made a bid . Now if it was a item from Turf Moor - well that 's totally different isn' it. Will we see any of these numbered items on major dealers record auction sites, in the coming months or years. .
Dave Moore Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Now if it was a item from Turf Moor - well that 's totally different isn' it. Of course! That goes without saying!

I know someone who's got a little piece of Highbury turf in a large plant pot.Tried to buy it from them, but can't afford the miniture Qualcast that goes with it . I rang up the Museum/auction house about the Highland Room Wood, they told me you'd got to come along in person to buy, such was the interest.

Epic Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 One of my mates has one of the decks that Messrs Levine & Curtis used in The Highland Room. They changed the decks circa 1977 & my brother smuggled one of the original ones out under his coat - they were just leaning against the DJ booth when the new ones had been fitted.
