Guest mel brat Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) Smokey Robinson's play on words "Train Of Thought" "C'mon baby, ride my train of thought..." Did you know the long tradition of "Train" themes in Soul lyrics are said to be inspired by the 'Underground Railroad'? - ie. the secret escape route for slaves to Canada. "Members of The Underground Railroad often used specific jargon, based on the metaphor of the railway... The Railroad itself was often known as the "Freedom train" or "Gospel train," which headed towards "Heaven" or "the Promised Land" - Canada..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underground_Railroad Edited February 12, 2009 by mel brat
