Dayo Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 (edited) Not 'My heart will go on' then Col ... link Let it lie! (By the way, Emma's favourite Northern Soul song is now "You don't know where your interest lies". This worries me. Always thought it a great record, but is it soul or Broadway with the right beat?) In fact, that's just given me an idea for a new thread.... Edited May 13, 2005 by Dayo

Guest ScooterNik Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 The Snake got voted the most popular scooterist record on a certain scooter boy website a couple of years back. As a result all the DJs who used that site swore not to play it for a year. Quite rightly too.

You and I'll agree on something one day Johnny What about footy? Do share Mrs One Trout's impeccable taste? link got to agree with you ian it is slightly gay - ie camp, OTT and melodramatic - and not the most 'soulful' record out there but what a superb, adrenalin-rush out-and-out northern soul dancer it is but it's not no it's not what i need, it's not what's keeping me breathing 4am memories of a misspent youth

Guest Dan Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Record in itself may not be the most soulful, but I think the vocal on it is. i dunno...do you not get slight frank sinatra hints from it? personally think it exemplifies the difference between northern soul and soul not dissing it though, love it to absolute bits, a record i'd never part with
Sweeney Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 I'll admit to loving Don't Pity Me - Joanie Sommers even though every fibre of my being tells me it's wrong to.
