Guest Beeks Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Your comments have put me off going to winsford if you are trying to support them you are doing them no favours. Completely agree...absolutely no need for a personal attack on a light hearted thread...and if you ARE trying to support Winsford your comments are having the opposite effect

Toodarnsoulful Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'm a bit confused.. you see my intial guess what Lowton! as its the only place i know of the Burger van..But while we're on the topic of Rugby, it is without doubt the friendliest and my favourite all-nighter in the land!!... sweets and smiles when you enter the sounds always pleasing to the ear, record bar always great craic and hard to get away from with a nice big bar also.. Freestyle room with great floor and perfect intimacy that a freestyle room should have... Main room, big dogs danglys, magic!! yes, you could say i kinda like Rugby Soul Club a little bit.... L
Anton L Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 All am saying is rugby soul club could of booked another night but choosed not to as winsford was booked well before rugby are you one of the prometers then ? Both lots of promoters are fantastic people who accommodate as much as possible. they bend over back wards to take care of the soul fans that come through their doors, and are in communication with each other but sometimes the unavoidable happens as there are about 22 All-night events on up and down the country, you do the maths, they are bound to clash now and again. What ever event you go to, have a wonderful time and all the very very best to the promoters. Now get on with life it's only music, fantastic though it is.

Winsford Soul Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 ...Yes, we did book it first (in fact we were the only all-niter on in February when the date was announced). We have chatted with the organisers who were offered that date and no other. Not at all arrogant, we did try to avoid the clash but nothing could be done. Also gutted coz if they hadn't clashed, I'd have been there. Hope you enjoy wherever you go... Just to put the record straight. When in Oct 08 at the last Winsford we were informed that the venue was closing in early 09 a decision was made to have a farewell nighter rather than just end it there and then and the only available date for the venue was the 7th Feb. Which on the night nobody involved with Winsford knew it clashed with the Rugby nighter. As soon as the clash was noticed i contacted Sian and explained what was going on. I even said i was sorry for the clash Which Sian to her credit accepted. I love the nighter at Rugby and would be there myself only for the clash. So please dont put Rugby down , if anything have a moan about Winsford. Thanks for taking the time to read this and wherever you end up on Sat have a great night. Steve

Maark Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Can you name the venue? I met a lady at Barnsley last Friday who asked if I had attended a certain Allnighter, I hadn't and asked her "Why should I go", this was her reply............... 1: It's always good to try somewhere new. 2: It's much better to travel loads of miles when there is something on close by... 3: It's very easy to get to and find. 4: We like "BLANK" virgins and we are getting less and less of them. 5: It's a lovely venue, all on one level, so no tiresome stairs where you might miss a record. 6: There is a gorgeous burger van, so you can buy a hot coffee... 7: We try and think out the DJs in each room, so that if one rooms music is not your thing, then the other might do it for you. 8: We like to party and don't give a fook about bollotics. 9: We're all crap dancers, so everyone who visits looks good. 10: It's very dark in the main room, I find I always look sooooo much better in the dark. Can you name the venue?? Cant but not go now can I It was the highlighted words that completely threw me ...............
