Soul Shrews Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Have found this info in the "Soul Harmony Singles" book 'Bring It Home.......' was their 1st release on Volt in March '72 Lead singer was Rhonda Washington Think the white label must be a promo copy can"t believe its ever been bootlegged but ya never know My copy is the brown stock, unfortunatley with the labels flipped Great record I reckon and their other Volt releases are also worth checking out Cheers Paul
boba Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Hello I,ve tried googling information on this sound and the group and all i get is pages and pages off different sauces. So can anyone here please give me info please. Is the white label volt original ? thanks i doubt this was bootlegged, this used to be ultra-common, like you would be able to get stock of this record for like a $1. great record though. i don't usually see it on white label.
Eddie Hubbard Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Bring it home was also recorded to great effect by Na Allen on Ronn , but re titled as " Lay it on me right now " .Can't imagine the Hot Sauce was ever booted , really common record , but great both sides .Best,Eddie
heikki 1 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Original is on Volt, it was reissued on Stax back to back with "I like everything about you" by Jimmy Hughes. I once googled the same tune and got the same results, plenty of sauces but very few 45s.
