Hi there,

did anyone catch the documentary on bbc2 last nite - "Real Litte Britains"? Part way through the programme i suddenly got a tingle down me spine as i heard the amazing "California Montage", by Young Holt. Not what i expected to hear at all, but a pleasant surprise..........

Saw that too. Was quite suprised. 100 greatest no 1's had a few motown numbers on too so not a bad night for soul on the tv.

And of course, one of the featured "Real Britons" was Robyn, (or Rob)-pre-op transsexual and formerly of this Northern Soul parish!

Played as an ender to drive people out of the venue quickly, so the staff could get on with the clean up, surely?

I agree with you. The only thing soulful about it was that I think I last heard it in an OTIS Elevator!
