Hi everyone, I am researching for a history degree dissertation on Wigan Casino and Northern Soul. It is a labour of love for me as I was a regular attender at the Casino as well as attending several other nighters/dayers - Va Va, Yate, St. Ives Whitchurch etc. during the seventies. I intend to base my research on as many oral history sources as possible hoping to show the average soul fan's as well as

D J opinions. This could be from serious collectors or ordinary dance fans. I have interviews lined up with some D Js and some of the artists who appeared live. I also have contacts with several people who attended the Casino but to do the dissertation justice I need many more from all corners of the Country.

I am prepared to travel to speak with any one who may be interested.

This is a genuine request and I am not doing it for any financial gain.
