Mace Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 You ever had one of these beers? check out there website.. it's real I have one of there pump clips for my record box.. https://www.norbrew.co.uk link Think these are Colin Stubbs beers (he owns a brewery in Runcorn) Col is a Winsford lad who has been on the scene for donkeys years but doesn't get out as much just lately(since he bought the brewery actually... ) He'll probably be at the Big Lock in Middlewich tonight, and has had his beers on the pumps at Middlewich Legion, where they also have soul nights.
mischief Posted May 6, 2005 Author Posted May 6, 2005 Yeh he's name is Colin.. I emailed him to see if I could buy some of the pump clips direct as I bought one on ebay... thought they would look good on me Playbox.. Imagine owning a brewary I wouldn't get out that much either.

Col Stubbs Any body tasted this beer on this site link Have not tasted it myself but I mentioned it to one of the "tickers" (camra members) in my local at the weekend and he said he had tried it at the cambridge beer festival last year. Trying to persuade our local landlord to get some in for our next bank holiday sunday "Meeting of Minds" soul evening. He usually has at least 17 different ales in so I told him one more wouldn't hurt. QOF Mines a Pint XX

Believe it helps to get rid of any odd tastes out of your mouth, especially after long car journeys.... Edited May 9, 2005 by Mace

Guest Johnny One Trout Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Whats 'compulary' mean Trouty.....is this word from an alcoholics dictionary... link No it's a revolutionary way to pull a proper pint of real ale
Mace Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Is this a soul orientated thread? link I believe so - as it's started about a Soulie who owns a brewery, and make beers with names like Northern Dancer etc. Their is also a strong link between soul music and beer, with Mr Rimmer being the guvnor and myself being the apprentice.....
Mace Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 (edited) I believe so - as it's started about a Soulie who owns a brewery, and make beers with names like Northern Dancer etc. Their is also a strong link between soul music and beer, with Mr Rimmer being the guvnor and myself being the apprentice..... Â link ...however, as I posted the whiskey/taste comment earlier, I would like to point out that I certainly do not wish to learn all the 'tricks' of the trade from Mr Rimmer, and would therefore prefer not to drink at all if certain 'tricks' need performing..... Back on topic - Col Stubbs beers are a great idea that should grace the bar of all soul venues (and no, I'm not on commission), and bottled versions would be even better. Edited May 10, 2005 by Mace
Mace Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Just realised how fitting that whistling smilie would be if the musical notes were not there.....
