Last time I heard it was at New Century think the dance floor was little empty though............

Rob Messer played it at These Old Shoes last year, along with a John Lee Hooker track, hadn't danced to JLH since the old Mod days.

Are any other LWJ tracks played anywhere? He was a great singer, one of the fathers of soul music, imo.

:D Has anybody heard Little Willie John's 1968 work for Capitol records, produced by H.B. Barnum? Incredible stuff, there's a whole unreleased (?) Lp, 2 known 12" acetates of it. One belongs to Mable John and was borrowed by Billy Vera in the early 90s, the other I purchased from Hb 4 years ago. 2 amazing Northern cuts, a decent funker, some nice slower or R&B stuff, etc. HB said he cannot issue it cause Capitol owns it. Maybe someone should pressure them into finally doing it, if they have their tapes still.... :shades:

Was this ever issued in the UK? ( I vaguely recollect seeing a sold-centre copy on Ebay a couple of years ago).
