Never done a blog before Mike - hope I've grasped the gist of it; a kind of irregular online diary with inner-thoughts, comments, weekend activities, f*** ups and personal disasters, right ? ,

Birthday will be a quiet one mate - would love to dine at the Savoy, unwrap a copy of Natural Impulse, and be flown off to New York for a spend what u like shopping trip but I'm a realist and will make do with a takeaway Chicken Dansak, a bottle of fizzy wine and a phone call from my Mum.....won't hold my breath until I hit 50 for anything more spectacular (that gives JoT plenty of time to save up)
