Brief Enconuter (capitol Re-issue, Boot Or 2nd Press Around ?)

Please help,

I got a copy of Brief Encounter - What About Love / Get Right Down M- . But I´m not sure, is it a original record.

Does anybody knows if there are second press copies or re-issues around which look like the same as the original one.

On popsike I could only find one identical issue of mine which was sold in M condition.

Great two sider but I'd be amazed if it had been booted...it's only really been picked up in the last 6 months or so - that popsike one looks proper so if yours looks the same I shouldn't worry.

it made 82 on the soul charts in the states so theres always been a trickle of copies coming over. it also came out in france with a picture cover.....nice. also their other capitol 45 get a good feeling is very good and very funky. ive seen this going for good money on ebay. its also on there expensive seventy seven lp but i havent got that so i dont know if its a re recording or not

Brief Encounter are a vastly under-rated group in my opinion (on par with the likes of Enchantment et.al., though less prolific.) Most of the sides I've heard by them are ace.

"Human"/cw. "Total Satisfaction" (Sound Plus) and "Don't You See I'm Crazy About You"/cw. "We're Going To Make It" (Seventy 7) are another two great double-siders worthy of your attention I think.

I don't imagine that "What About Love" has been bootlegged/re-issued (yet!), but it's recognition was way overdue. It's a dead catchy little tune!
