Guest Carrie Mehome Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I spend more time with the people I work with who I have absolutely nothing in common with and refuse to spend anymore time with them than I have to (keep getting invited to the pub and nights out to crappy clubs - no thanks!). I always make an exception for my works xmas do though - still quite painful having to join in the congo on the dancefloor! They're really a nice bunch so shouldn't complain too much. They probably think I'm boring as hell too!
Guest posstot Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 You're Lucky, i live near leigh...... The term i use for the "Divvies" is "Pop Wallies". Did you Dance to any of the Wham tracks....Should ask the d.j if it's an issue or a demo!!

KevH Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 i thought an Epiphany was a new curry you'd discovered. "2 Naan's, 1 Aloo Saag and the hottest Lamb Epiphany you've got!"
Guest Byrney Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 That does sound like a cr3p nye, although I'm very happy on the right nights outside the scene. I've always had as many mates off the scene than on it who are far from being Divvies and bang into their music, none of them into what you'd call the mainstream though. When house clubs were good I absolutely loved them and I'm more than happy to go to the pub with my mates, I prefer that in fact to say a nostalgia top 100 soul night anytime. It's about who you're with rather than if they're on the scene or not. Having said that I did end up in a club in Derby last year on a mates birthday where the music was the funky house oldies night - it was my idea of hell.
