The Tempest
Dear All, Yes, some of us have lived and danced to the legendary allnighter / soul night enders of the scene ,in years gone by , namely the "Three Before Eight" but after the influence on the scene from the eighties with various music forms re Stafford , Rotherham , Morecambe , Keele , 100 Club , and abroad , etc ... What would be your final three in a row ? Mines to get the ball rolling : Harry Starr - Another Time , Another Place Tempests - Someday Ascots - Another Day Regardless if it's sixties , modern , crossover , lets hear them , Link to comment Social source share
Justin
I'd have: Deon Jackson - Someday the sun will shine James Phelps - The look on your face Bob & Fred - I'll be on my way These are slowies, but I quite like it when a venue finishes on a 100mph tune too Link to comment Social source share
jazzyjas
My personal choices: 1. California Montage-Young Holt Unlimited-Brunswick 2. You Satisfy My Needs-Big Dee Irwin-Rotate 3. One Woman-Jo Ann Garrett-Duo Nothing particular about the lyrics, just good tunes to cap off a night. -Jas Link to comment Social source share
Dean
Call me a sentimentalist but I'd still have Tobi Legend in there, under the OVO rule, playable by licence only to places playing priginal vinyl. Still a perfect ender that has perhaps become tainted by it's exposure as 3 before 8. Think I'd vary the other 2, at the moment I'm liking Lavell Hardy - What Kind of Woman . . . . . . just thought of another that I've not been brave enough to play out yet, Checkmates Ltd - Walk in the Sunlight (flip to The A & I ) - cheap sound but great ballad. Zed1
My perfect three 'enders' would be....... 'Just Loving You' - Ruby Andrews 'Sugar Dumpling' - Sam Cook 'Tribute to Betty Swallocks' - DJ Genitals Mainly because I've usualy fooked off half an hour before the end.
