Hi, finally registered on the forum today after hanging round for a couple of years. During the mid - late 70's, I was at Birmingham University with a great mate from Hereford. He was seriously into his Northern and I thought I was pretty obsessed. He went to Wigan, Mecca, St Ives, Yate.... We hitched to Yate or got the coach from Birmingham (run by a girl as I remember) and set up Brum Uni Soul Club. Had monthly sessions at the Student Union. Anyway, down to the nitty-gritty - anyone know what happened to Dougie? We both graduated in Physics!!! and last I heard he went off to Israel or was it Mars in Slough? Love to get in touch again; did try phoning up various 'Bishops' in Hereford a couple of years ago to try and invite him to my 50th but got no joy. Still think he'll just bump into me at the Kings Hall one night. Cheers.
