Behave yourselfs...

I'm a scooterist i'm not a drunk... I don't get in fights... I feel I have a full respect of Northern Soul, and I dislike people who drink on the dance floor.

I have a decent job (facilities manager in a solicitors) so how do I come in to your scumbag comment?

Sorry I am really put out about this... if you don't want to read about scooters for sale, which I myself don't as there are already 5 in the garage at the moment.. turn over the page.

I find some of the comments on here rude narrow minded and out of date. Scooter runs 15 years ago, we was all younger then.

I always pick up on the scene.. scooter sales or not i'm not bothered as long as it has what i want from it..

I agree with Mischief, but as we are way off topic I'll be brief.

If you took all of the people from a mod/scooterist background out of the northern scene......there wouldn't be a scene left to talk about.

Col,

With all due respect, I really don't agree with that statement. Yes, Scooters etc are inextricably linked and they always will be.

But to say there would be no scene without them??? :(

Maybe down South there wouldn't be, but up North :)

All IMVFH(and uneducated)O

Different regions I think have slightly different scenes, or at least in terms of music anyways.

I do think that has changed to an extent over recent years with the advent of forums such as these.

There's venues catering for all tastes in most areas now, which I think is a good thing. Variety is the spice of life as they say.......

Too far off-topic!! Sorry :)

Evening Jamie & Col :(

Looks like it's gone well off topic already, so I'll just say Jamie there may be more on the scene in your area with mod/scooterist roots than you realise....there were at least half a dozen that I knew at your brilliant night in April.

Sorry you couldn't make Sunday mate.....but you probably wouldn't have liked it :(

in terms of idiots at rallies etc .... I think you have to get it all into perspective. at a rally like the IOW you get anything up to about 8000 scooterists ..... bound to be a few idiots in that number. I think the most people I've ever seen at a NS venue is the 800 or so at Crossfire when I went (and thats not strictly NS), although I know there are some bigger nights. Most I've been to though are much smaller therefore perhaps less potential for idiots.

My contact with other scooterists locally and at dos/events/rallies etc has brought me no grief whatsoever.

On the subject of Scooterist's @ Northern Soul Do's....I would like to feel that over the years there have been quite a few people who where what you would call SCUMBAGS @ first but as they gradually got into the Music, Became GOOD People....& Are now Northern Soul Fans with Scooters....

Keep @ It
