Guest Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 That's incredibly cheap Adam. Only because I'm an idiot and misread the title of the thread . Tis their other one I have...I Don't Care/She's My Baby....I'm going off to bang my head against a wall whilst shouting 'Before posting, double check your facts'

boba Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Thought they had 7??? But going by my 'success' in this post so far I'm happy to be proved wrong......again maybe, I can check later, maybe I'm forgetting one
boba Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 is there any relationship (aprt from being near enough the same) - singers/producers/secretarys dogs hairdresser to this and the Carpets or Mandells?? I interviewed both the mandells and the intensions, you can listen here: www.sittinginthepark.com/interviews.html the carpets are from kansas city. the same producer, george redman, was involved in all the recordings. the intensions are the same group as the measures.
boba Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I had a copy for a few days, but after that the lead singer has such an irritating voice that I had to get rid of it.... .....true... the lead singer is a super-nice guy with a great memory.

boba Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 thasnks Bob, but Just a quick one, Bob, but i am sure that the writers credits are different, if they had same involvement?...(sure the Intesions and Mandells are not the same)?? There are no common members between the intensions and the mandells. I just can't win by the intensions is a totally different song. "I love you" by the intensions shares the same backing track as the mandells / carpets "just can't win" but it is also a different song with different lyrics. To make it more confusing, the Summits on United International cover the Intensions version of "just can't win", but titled as "love is blind". George Redman, the label owner / producer, reused backing tracks without the groups' knowledge. Are you confused yet?
boba Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 You sure you're not English? are you asking because i'm an obsessive nerd?

boba Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 thanks - it was the "I Love You" backing i was referring to... other than that its just all too confusing george redman was supposedly very crazy and very flaming, it's not suprising that he played with the writing credits too. He credits the desires as "dee desires" on one record and credits the impulse as "dee impulse" and called himself jorge rojohombre on a few records.
