Anyone know this early chicago r&b dancer , cant seem to find any info on rarity /value , ive asked around a few folk but with no luck

ROGER BALIN - LOOK A WHO - NIKE 001 (chicago label division of Formal Records )

I bought a VG one recently for about a tenner. Sorry Tony :ohmy:

I don't know about rarity. I haven't seen any others either, but a tenner...?

Thanks Matt , it only cost me $7 but still interested in its rarity , as i,m not really into r&b i guess this must be 1961-2 release , presume theres a label listing somewhere r&b indies maybe ?

nike was related to tiptop and jive not formal. do you have a copy that says related to formal on the label?

my copy says DIVISION OF FORMAL RECORD CO . CHICAGO. ILL. U.S.A. around the bottom of the label i will post scan later ,having problems with my scanner at present

interesting, I don't think my copy says that I will have to dig it out (maybe it does). Jive / Nike / Tiptop were all chuck colbert labels. Formal was I think don talty.
