Mark Bicknell Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 As of now the Soul Shack is now closed, there will be no further shows on Starpoint Radio from me, no major reason or drama for finishing it but just can't commit enough time to the show or the scene anymore due to other commitments, thanks to all at Starpoint for the chance to do my thing over the past year or so, The show lasted a total of eight years between Starpoint and Solar so not a bad run, big thanks to everyone who helped me along the way and manny many thanks to all those who tuned in. Regards - Mark Bicknell..

Sorry to hear that Mark, it has been a great show over the years, setting up a show like yours must consume alot of your time and I can understand that must be difficult at times, any good luck in anything you decide to do in the future you know you will always have soul sourcers supporting you. Seasons Greetings to you and Jacqui, Regards, Alan

Does that mean no more sitting on the end of your bed bouncing about to high hair, slingbacks and chiffon and being a badly behaved guest Mark, 8 years is not a bad innings in radio terms and these days you get less for life Speak to you soon......and maybe a visit xxx

Mark Bicknell Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 (edited) Many thanks for all your posts and kind comments, the first anniversary show which should have broadcast last Sunday will now go out this coming Sunday December 21st and that will be the final show, it's been a blast and fantastic fun to do over the last eight years but I alway's said to myself the day the buzz and enjoyment goes is the time to call it a day which pretty much goes for scene and DJ wise as I simply don't enjoy it anymore also other commitments with business, family and football have played a major part in my decision, collecting the odd thing is pretty much where I want to be now, again thanks for all your support over the years, seasons greetings. Regards - Mark Bicknell. Edited December 16, 2008 by Mark Bicknell

Regards - Mark Bicknell. Sorry to hear this mate! I love your show and have done since you started! Haven't tuned in as often as i could recently (difficult as someone said with late night and no sky+) but usually manage at least a couple a month! Solar was a breeze cos i sky+ it every week and listened in me own time during the week. The quality of your shows is always 100% and I always love the passion you put into your presentation, particularly like the 'ohh' when a great track was about to drop Hope you get summat sorted soon (preferably on a sky+ able station!) Take care Steve
