chrissie
Just itemising my records for Insurance replacement value and for replacement value I am basing everything, where price available, on JMs prices (to take into consideration that replacement value is usually about a third over going rate). Was checking value of Lydia Pense, I'll Forgive You, and as there was not one listed on JM I looked up on GEMM and was v suprised at the price. Mine is WD in EX condition.....................what would be your value, taking into consideration replacement value is usually over the going rate. Soul-slider
I've always been a bit perplexed as to how these insurance companies work it with rare records.??? When I went to my bank for one of those stupid meetings they call you in for, the banker ( ) asked if I had anything of value. He was particularly interested when I told him about my records. Alas, I could only insure them as the whole collection, not individually, then if I had a fire and all went up in smoke, I would have to prove what their value was.....yea right, and they're gonna believe it!! It's more likely that my 2 year old daughter will get hold of one and run it along the floor etc....for that they say, they will NOT pay out!
