I won a couple of records on ebay on 28th September, paid by paypal, and waited eagerly for their arrival......and waited......and waited......you get the picture, nothing forthcoming....so I asked the seller what was the state of play.....she sent me a USPS tracking number for the parcel, and assured me they would turn up soon.....they didn't, but I was confident that the seller had posted them in good faith.....In all the years that I've been buying 45's, I've never had one go missing before. I got a message from paypal saying that the closing date for making a claim was soon to run out.....so I made a claim, thinking that paypal would investigate the transaction, see that the seller was genuine, and would recompense me.......er no.....they have made the seller refund me. :D ......I feel terrible....I mean, I want my money back [though I'd rather have the 45's], but how can the seller be culpable, when it's the postal service that have lost the parcel? I feel for the seller who has done nothing wrong......what do you think?.....

If the seller's got a tracking number, they can get the money back from USPS.

I tried that Baz, but all it tells you is that it went into the system at the sellers end, and that's it. Also, I'm sure she said that she couldn't claim as she didn't have the parcel insured? It's a real pisser, I've never lost anything before, I'm going to be more careful in future.

Why not split the cost then no one loses out. seems the right thing to do to me.

Don't understand this.

If she gives Phil half his money back - then he has lost half his money no?

Law of the Land Joan. I once bought a w/d copy of The Dynamics 'Yes I love You' Top Ten off Matt Simpson down the 100club for £15. About a month later I was strapped for cash and sold it to Mr Brady for £150. Told matt and to compensate sold him some reords from my box at cheap value. Everyone's happy. Me him and Pat. Do you get it now?
