Nickinstoke Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I've just listened to Martha & the Vandellas "My baby loves me" - what a gem. Does anyone know who the male backing vocalists were? Nick
The Yank Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 The male backup singers are the Four Tops who are singing along with the Andantes. No Vandellas on the song at all !

Sunnysoul Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 The great thing about the Stovall Sisters brilliant reworking is that it is - to my knowledge - LP only.
45cellar Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) great tune, how much would i have to pay for one of these ? It is one of those records, that for a few $ or £ it delivers a Sound worth much, much more. All Originals & are out there & they don't break the Bank, can't go wrong. Tremendous Record. Nickinstoke Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Thanks for the info, everyone. I guess I should have spotted it was the Four Tops - who else could sound so good? Talking of other versions, Jean Carn did a goodie, and Barbara Mason's version on the recent Philly meets Motown CD was tasty too. If you like an instrumental, try David T Walker. I like this song a lot! Nick
