This Stone label was out of Pittsburgh. I've seen a lot of "Pittsburgh sound" like doowop and garage on this label, but don't remember much soul or funk. Maybe I didn't pay attention in many years of record hunting there. Probably some connection to Jeree and Green Dolphin, all the PGH labels have at most one degree of separation. GG and band were white greasers from PGH even though one of his records says Ohio. - George
