looks very much like the one the guy uses at a second hand record shop i buy from. it certainly cleans the dusty records up and makes a difference to the sound quality. but having said that - so does a damp cloth at home

It's pretty much the same as the Okki Nokki machine, excellent machine for cleaning LPs - makes a massive difference in removing dirt you can't even see. My local shop has one, well worth it, has made a huge improvement on LPs I've taken to them - especially records that look fine but sound crap - and far better than you could do with a cloth/isopropyl/water/detergent or whatever.

You normally need to buy an extra adaptor to clean 45s, by the way.

i like how the okki nokki ad says the "VIP" in italics, like they're trying to confused the buyer with the VPI... the VPI is the most well known (at least in the US) vacuum record cleaning system, probably followed by the nitty gritty. the other two things (the one in the original post and the one you link) look similar. They all work the same way I guess. I think they're all more ideal for cleaning LPs anyways, I personally think I get can 45s cleaner by hand.

I don't think they're trying to confuse anyone, they're taking the piss out of VPI, surely?

I must say I prefer a hand polish as well  but a 12inche takes a bit longer to sort out.
