Pete S Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Patsy - A Man Is Two Faced - Doctor Bird. This is of course the female version of Johnny Taylor's Blues In The Night and is really good and I know it's very rare - put it this way, I collected Doctor Bird for years and never got a sniff of this. Anyway I've got one now and am going to be selling it very soon so I was just wondering what sort of price it's been fetching in the real world? Two on popsike seem very low priced. https://www.soul-source.co.uk/rare-northern...ced-doctor-bird

I was given my Gayfeet blank by a top ska man a few yrs ago who described it as "one o' dem likkle soul 'tings you like". Of course the Buster version is good too..."Earthquake in Orange St" only seen on Olive Blossom blank. Nij
Guest dundeedavie Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 it is so hard to price JA R&B stuff as there is no real precedent ...for example derrick harriott - i won't cry i don't think there is a real rice for this , i know what i paid for it and i know what i sold a spare for and as far as i'm concerned what i paid is the real price

Nij I'm thinking more along the lines of £200 Nij, thats based upon a) the quality of the record and how long it took me to get it - had Glen Miller before, never had this one (and also I was advised to ask between 200 and 300 for Stop That Train on Island and this is harder) Edited November 23, 2008 by Pete S
