Mal C Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Never been mad on this record, sorry version... there is another unreleased version that came out on one of those Detriot CD'd Goldmine put out some years ago, far superior... I Need My Baby - Melvin Davis & Steve Mancha cost the price of a CD.. Mal

Mal Have to disagree there Mal, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it should never have been released, they don't know the lyrics and it's all over the place - unless thats a different take.

Marc Forrest Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I thought it was even less Here you go, you live and learn
Benji Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Here you go, you live and learn No, I already knew that some people have more money than brain cells

Must be the same version, how many could they have done?? if its the one on that groovesville masters CD, the blue one with Edwin starr - has it happened to you yet, then yes the very same version.. I've never owned the revilot single so i cant say for certain, but recordings I had always sound dull to my ears, where as the other above version sounds clear and crisp, even if, as you say, they dont know the words... Never struck me that way I could always buy one of those round table mats with the label scan on, while playing the other version...cheaper again.. Mel.B
Marc Forrest Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 No, I already knew that some people have more money than brain cells Come on Benji, to defend all the popele who bought this 45 I must say that to think that one of the most wanted Detroit Norhern Soul (doublesider) 45s ever which also has proven to be extremely tough to get hold of for the last thirty odd years would be less then 800 UKP these days is not showing the biggest of them brains at all...but maybe you were just in your teasing state of mind again

Rushden Vic Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It's got one average side and one decent side and it's rare, but more than 800 quid...never Interesting you say that pete as ive got a buyer for mine at 1600 quid , does that mean i should give him 800 back
Marc Forrest Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Well maybe its indeed just an overrated 800 UKP 45 then...and everybody who thinks its worth a grand or more must have lost his/her mind. To me its one of the best 45s to have come out of Detroit anyway still and if I would have to and would have the chance to I would easily pay more then 800 UKP. And I did...nine years ago. Still have not regret it I must say Marc
