Hi folks,

We missed the deadline for inclusion in the 100th edition of the mag and, as it was, there were only 50 entries. I'm asking, once again for a further 50 alternative northern entries for the next issue. For those of you who already submited, I thank you. For those who didn't....COME ON. All I need is artist, title, label, and if you wish, name and area. Ive five days to deadline but this could be an inspiration to many of the DJ's stuck in their ways as I see it. Tell me if I'm wrong or not. Look forward to some input.

I'm surprised we didn't get a hundred entries given the number of moans on here about the 'top 500', just goes to show maybe we're an oldies crowd at heart eh...?

As you need some titles quick, here's 10 of the 45s i might be playing ai Peterborough on the 28th

1 THERE'S NOT TOO MANY MORE (left like him) - JO ARMSTED - GIANT

2 DON'T PRETEND - ROSCOE ROBINSON - FAME

3 GOT TO GET THROUGH TO YOU - THE T.S.U. TORONADOES - ATLANTIC

4 QUIET HOME - SEA SHELLS - VILLAGE

5 HERE STANDS THE MAN WHO NEEDS YOU - GEORGE WILSON -BLACK CIRCLE

6 LOOKING FOR A LOVER - ROCKY GIL and the BISHOPS - TEAR DROP

7 YOU'VE HURT ME NOW - DENISE CHANDLER - LOCK

8 I TRULY BELIEVE (in love) - MARVELLE HAMPTON - PIGGYLO

9 GOTTA GET AWAY - VALERIE LAMAR - DEE DEE

10 WOULD YOU BELIEVE - WILLIAM HUNT - STREAMSIDE

None of these are set in stone, as there is so many things i wan't to play, but might not get the time. But as allways i'm there to get the floor moving, don't need too many tumble weeds across the dance floor. But i won't play a record i don't like to please the floor, here's an idea why not come along and hear what me and Phil have to offer, a fresh slant, i hope so Paul Johnson.

Rob, Are they expected to be rare/obscure (sorry mate I know it's not your thread, just chatting really). At the moment can't stop playing The Third Guitar - Sad Girl - Rojac, which is neither rare nor obscure but is luvelly  . There are those of the opinion that it isn't a "play out" sound, I disagree. Another top play for me also on Rojac, Lavell Hardy - What Kind of Woman. I guess we could all list our own 100, those of us moaners about top 500! Dean from Mansfield - Attic but mostly his own front room!

i didnt think it was about rare tunes.....just good ones !.....and something you dont hear all the time....

does it matter if they are rare or not as long as they are good and an alternative to the usual? Anywhere I'm over my limit now

My other current fav is a cover up I think. I dont know much about it. I just know it as Ring the Changes by The Paradox...

Does this mean anything to anyone else?..

Thanks
