Northern Soul. Student Project. Help Needed

Hello.

I am a second year Graphic Design student, originally from Huddersfield, currently studying in Bath. I'm in the process of producing a one-off magazine focusing upon 'Northern Soul', and I need your help. (The magazine will not be sold at any point in the future, and although a small run shall be produced, is intended only as a portfolio piece) The magazine shall focus mainly upon the visual aspect of 'Northern Soul' (flyers, badges, photographs etc) although of course will feature articles, interviews, reviews, classifieds...

If you could answer a few quick questions it would be most helpful.

-Why Northern soul?

-Any particular recollections of 'Wigan Casino'? (or any other such venues)

-Which aspect of the 'Northern Soul' scene do you think is ignored by the popular press?

-Which aspect of the 'Northern Soul' scene would you focus upon if you were to produce such a publication.

Any source material (in particular high resolution scans of flyers, badges, sleeves etc), opportunities to photograph events, collections, conduct interviews etc, would of course be welcome. < THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT.
