So people when and where would you go if you could have one return trip in the tardis.

I think the spring of '67 Waxie Maxy's in Washington DC would do for me. Before it burned down in the riots of the following summer  I'd need to rescue all those unwanted 45's of course.

What about you?

That day when Chess records closed down and the demolition men went in and proceded to "Chainsaw" a quarter of a million records. (as told in the Chicago Soul Story)......I've worked on demo jobs and know for a fact some of those local boys would have been "Soul" boys and took a few thousand 45's back home to the block.

First time I went to Blackpool Mecca.

Good call :D

In the RCA studios in the mid to late sixties just listening to all those tracks being laid down by Lorraine Chandler & Sharron Scott - heaven .

To when The Dells where recording My Pretending Days Are Over. Just to be there.

Detroit June 1968. I'd get the train to Chicago, and be back in the Tardis within a week. And with it's special Time And Relative Dimension In Space I'd be able to load it full of 45s

1965. Catch the Motortown Revue in the UK.

Wallop, imagine that!

Back to summer 77 just left school, started going to wigan bellvue alldayers were still on magic times.

To be able to go back in time and sit in the studio and watch the Funk Brothers jammin all those years ago.

I'd go back and tell Smokey Robinson not to lend Berry any money to set up his new label.....

Or

'No Dave... i don't think the term northern soul will ever catch on... i tell you what.. how about.. er.. Matt Soul?'

I'd go to the Stafford Reunion this Saturday, pop back home to Northants tape this Saturday's Dr Who, Deep Soul and Lord of the Rings which are all pretty much on the same bloody time:ranting_1: and then back to the queens hall without missing anything! :wicked:

at risk of sounding like mr logic a twat of the first order, doesn't this defeat the whole object of a time machine, viz that you never ever have to record anything ever again but can simply return to the point in time of its broadcast and watch it at your leisure

much better to spend your tardis air miles nipping in and out of the barbara mcnair playboy shoot

ah...just spotted the cunning 'one return trip' caveat

just one look at the mcnair norks then

Actually I twatted my own post up cos Deep Soul doesn't start until NEXT Saturday, but what the heck, we've got a time machine, right? :D

It's all very confusing. If they ever do invent time travel i'll never get the hang of it.
