Jim Elliott
Arethas versh has been getting a right hammering recently (particularly at Norfolk weekenders). Now I know I'm going to get a bit of stick about this but personally I just think, she (Aretha) is 'ok' as a singer . I've started playing the Baby Washington versh (Cotillion) at Elliott towers and to my inexperienced ears it's the better of the two. Now to the original point, How many versions of this are there? I think I've got about three, Supremes & Four Tops is a goodie and I seem to remember theres a version by George Benson on the same album as the sublime 'My womans good to me'. Any others? Regards Jim. Link to comment Social source share
