Hi you may have heard my track "Rules" on the Casino Classics: the Forgotten Floorshakers CD (Track 3). Anyway I do not have any digital releases of any of the tracks I did over the years. If you could be so kind as to send me an mp3 of any thing that I did i would be most thankful.... or drop me a line if you have any questions what so ever.

I am trying to recover them so I can bring them out I am the artist and author of Rules & La Ta Ta.

Thank you!

Ok 'Soul Sources' let's give Gil an early Christmas present just looked on JM's site and he has a copy of 'Rules' for sale at £200.00 I'll start the kitty off with £20.00 so pretty sure we can temp Mr Manship to part with this for the artist and get the rest together, how cool is this to directly actually give something back to one of the makers of our music.

Just of Gil's benifit JM is John Manship Records who has a copy of the record www.raresoulman.com

Well that's £120 surely about its value  or am I way off ?

The copy JM has on his site is 200.00, I've sent him a PM and reserved it for Gil, we are only 80.00 light, I've asked John to mail it to me and will contact Gil directly via a PM to get his mailing address, then I'll be first in line for any unissued stuff....lol, nice to do something good and proper, how cool is this actually buying a tune for the guy that made it in the first place, as someone said on another thread people on the scene in general are the best people in the world.

Just to let you know that across the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world, where folks are into rare soul music, your music is held in very high regards and it very possible that on most weekends there will be many thousands of fans dancing to RULES on a regular basis (since about 1979 when I think it first got introduced).

Many of your fellow artists have also only just found out in recent years how popular they have become.

Great to hear your keeping well, and Im sure lots of promoters would love to get you to appear at the many functions held in celebration of rare soul.

It's a bit of a shame having to pay way way over the odds for a copy though isn't it, has no one else got one for a sensible price, 100 - 120?
i agree pete, didnt it get legally reissued on grapevine or some other label mid/late 70s??? surely it doesnt have to be an original on ready for gil to have,

I know he said that Ken but just thought it might be a nice idea to send him a copy of the original record as it would seem that he does not own one like so many of the artists who made and gave us the music in the first place they often don't even own copies of their records, as Mike said just a nice gesture on our part or people who want to subscribe to it nothing more it's a simple gesture nothing more, I've had one or two records directly off the artists over the years so thought it might be nice to put that method in reverse.
