jocko Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Missed it but heard good things, think he is touring here again soon. Supposed to be fantastic live His CD is very very good, and in reality much better than lots of the retro stuff getting touted around. As Reg said think he is on here so when he gets back to States he may comment https://www.amazon.co.uk/Roll-You-Eli-Paper...3045&sr=8-1

Talk about coincidence! About 2 hours ago I was with a couple of mates bar-hopping in Covent Garden of all places and as we walked past a restaurant an unbelievable piece of Soul music was playing, so we stood outside and tried to identify it. None of us knew, so I went in and asked the manager who it was and it turned out to be a track off one of Jools Holland's albums. Solomon Burke maybe.....? Ian D

Thanks for the tip, absolutely superb. Reminds me of when the Q-Tips were going, that 'got to get up and dance' feeling. Hopefully he'll do a second song on the long repeat on Friday.
Guest Craig A Butler Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I like it! Off to see him in Leeds at the end of the month & can't wait. If you look on his MySpace site you will see his other UK tour dates. ATB, Craig
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Mate of mine saw him in NYC recently, as a member of Harvey Scales' backing band!
