Hi all,

Is there a boot of Patrice Holloway - Stolen Hours - Capitol?

JM's guide says there is but the bootleg guide doesn't give any details. Could someone enlighten me please cos I've just received about the cleanest record I've ever seen.

The deadwax on mine has: 45-55965 - F - 1 stamped in it.

Cheers

Paul

That's the boot. Done recently-ish.

Seen those (disgraceful) but wondered if there was an earlier one as my JM guide is getting on now.

Matrix corresponds to mine altho I'd say "scratched" rather than stamped.

Yeah, scratched is a better description, there's a little sort of star too (a circle of vertical dashes - if that makes sense).

Pretty commonn 45 really so Mint copies are turning up all the time.

OK, I'll snap it in the shame of owning such a common Mint+ record laugh.gif:D

Didn't catch on till 90's [was it?] so never booted back in the hey-day. Not being dismissive. I mean it's a big label 45 so Minters are more likely to turn up just cos of numbers released.

That's twice in the last 24 hours I've been helpful to someone on here. No buzz really so back to being cynical.

Cheers

Didn't realise it only caught on in the 90's, summat every day etc.

You shouldn't feel a buzz as such, just a sort of nice warm feeling.

Cheers, much appreciated

i found a boot recently in a charity shop which also has lucky my boy on the flip, oh and it also had very very bad label scans over the boot labels, dont know why

This was an Alan Rhodes spin from late 77, he really did try to get it going but I think he gave up after maybe 6 months of lukewarm reaction to it. I remember it being 'ok' but didn't like it much back then. I do now. Not sure what happened after that but it certainly did go big in the 90's.
