Soulfuljules Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) Hi everybody, got a copy of Sonny Craver - I'm No Fool/I Wanna Thank you on Teri De. This is a fantastic double sider with a sublime mide-tempo side and a gorgeous cross-over/2 steppish flip (very much in the vein of today's sound!). BOTH TRACKS AVAILABLE ON REFOSOUL LABELS: Ringwear (ringdirt??) on both labels, both sides are stamped by the distributor "Michael J. Jackson" and there's a small biro writing on both labels (probably previous owner's name), nothing too obtrusive really. VINYL: I'm No Fool looks VG+ but plays easily like an EX/EX-. There's a tiny scratch towards the end of the song that causes 3 barely perceptible clicks when playing it with a Shure White Label (very very sensitive with any vinyl imperfection) so it's definitely great for djing and for domestic use as well. I Wanna Thank you looks VG+ and plays better, just a tiny amount of surface noise which will surely improve after a cleaning. Anyway, it is definitely a playable side for both large venues and tiny bedrooms I'm looking for 125 UKP, which is a good price IMO, considering an EX copy ended up at 250 on JM earlier on this year and a VG++ copy sold for 200 UKP just before the summer break. I am not able to provide scans or soundfiles, therefore there is a 100% refund policy if not satisfied. Paypal or bank swift accepted. pms or emails soulfuljools@yahoo.com might not be able to reply until this evening so please be patient if you don't get a sudden reply . best, Giulio Edited November 10, 2008 by soulfuljules

Dave Moore Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 As JMs auction price has been quoted twice, if it's really worth that then why not sell it to JM himself? He'll make over 80% profit on it. I suspect we all know the real answer to that question though eh? How much for a Musette copy nowadays you reckon?
Guest Richard Bergman Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) Mick from Skegness aka "Skegsoul" on this forum is desperately seeking Susan and this record. He may be your buyer. Edited November 20, 2008 by Richard Bergman
Soulfuljules Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 As JMs auction price has been quoted twice, if it's really worth that then why not sell it to JM himself? He'll make over 80% profit on it. I suspect we all know the real answer to that question though eh? How much for a Musette copy nowadays you reckon? mmmmhhhh, i'm not quite getting these remarks... i mentioned the price this record (visually in better condition) was actually SOLD for (not only LISTED), twice in the past 6 months or so. These might be or might not be "real" market prices, the simple fact is that at least 2 people ( + Dave Abbot & Tommaso ) think they are. The reason why I am not selling it to JM (provided he might be interested in it) is that he wouldn't be paying this sum for a resale which is supposed to allow him a margin, it's pretty clear really. If an ex+ copy ends up at 225/250 ukp a vg+ copy (that plays better actually ) would end up at about 2/3 or less of the said price, hence the impossibility for a dealer to pay my price and get a margin. I am not a dealer, just a soul lover who happens to have a spare on this beauty and i offered it at a fair price. If the winners on the said auctions happened to pay that much, then the 2nd or the 3rd highest bidder (possibly members of the forum?) might be interested in it. If not I will keep it, or give it as a present or just use it as an ashtray or whatever it might be. Thanx for the interest shown anyway and for your kind suggestions, hope you will get things straight on other sales here mate, there's always a good deal of people willing to make money out of record sales best, g
