Guest sadsam Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Out today, with the wife and her parents, while the games was on and i popped into a junk shop, box of 45s near the door, so i had a quick look. And i pulled out a copy of WHAT ABOUT LOVE - MARBOO - EMI UK DEMO. Now don't get me wrong not a big fan of the 45, but i didn't know it got a u.k. outing. If anyone here knows me,they will tell you, that i had nearly every 60s u.k 45s most on demo, and i was never really into 70s until i got back on scene again. Did anyone know of this release, or did every one know ?

Rick Scott Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Hi Kev, Yes, used to play this at the Pier on a 12" promo with extended strings and things in the instrumental break, not too much to spoil it either, great track and have to confess not seen too many of these since, one to look out for me thinks, Rick
De-to Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 im sure this was a big tune all over the country,"in the day",
Guest mel brat Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) im sure this was a big tune all over the country,"in the day", Perhaps it was...EVENTUALLY! But it was a Mecca sound originally, like the vast majority of 70s records played at Cleethorpes. It sneaked out on EMI International (about the same time as Barbara Hall?), but everyone who wanted it had probably got it on import by then. Edited November 9, 2008 by mel brat
