Had a few people make a offer on Len Jewel, Rose Battiste and Tamangoes. Is there no one out there that can give me some idea of the value of my list.

Been there, done that and lost the bloody tee shirt.

Regards

Stuart.

The plot thickens.

I bought these between 1972 and 1976, does that help, or do we need more info.

Regards

Stuart.

PS. Bought the top 500 book. Some of the records listed have gone for a lot more on ebay. It also has len Jewel listed at £1,000!!!

You need to get a bit more info from the records - label design and delta numbers. For instance - if yor Len Jewell has a coloured label with like an ocean design, it's a boot: if Lou Johnson is on blue or maroon paper labels, it's a boot; Robert Banks original is on Verve; Rose Batiste has to be on styrene; and so on

Are you having a dizzy spell Billy or something? Landslide on original is worth £30 tops. Sam & Kitty £40. The Fury's isn't even on Mirwood, it's on Keymen.

Last time I saw Sam & Kitty for sale it was £150 (Pat Brady I think). Don't even remember pricing Tony Calrke so must be having a dizzy spell wacko.gif ....I know Furys is on Keyman, so priced a Keyman copy blush.gif

P.S. Have you got a copy of Pat & Blenders Pete? I want one

Len Jewel is mid blue and light blue, sort of ocean/sky # 0011, run off has what looks like LJS - 0011A engraved. B side LJS - 0011B, there is also a circle stamped on with what looks like l/c or E/C engraved.

Lou Johnson is maroon.

Robert Banks is MGM VK10545 on lable. On the run off is K-6328 + VK10545

+ 102,357 then a circle with a c in it.

Im satisfied with you is Mirwood (blue), run off has MW1000A + the word SHORRIDGE engraved

Regards Stuart.

Last I saw on a list was £75. If you can find one for £10-15 I suggest you buy it, put it on ebay and keep the profet

You're recieving lists from awfully greedy dealers.

According to Manship:

"First issue has a sky blue background label with dark blue lettering. reissue is white label. with blue lettering"

First issues are selling on eBay EVERY single week for £10-£15.

Can't agree with you Sebastian, originals are actually quite rare and should sell for £40-£50

Any of the MGM dancers from 73-75 on the blue and gold label are legitimate reissues; Dottie Cambridge, Velours, Robert Banks, Clara Ward.

You getting these the right way round  Have seen Storm Warning for around the £30 mark recently but definately not £30 for Laws Of Love. If you see another for the price you paid get it me and I'll give you £30 for it.

Im getting very confused.

Is len Jewel a bootleg or re-issue.

Is Connie Clark ( Joker, black lable, 716-A in run off ) £30 £200 or £550

Regards

Stuart.

Len Jewell is a legit re-issue and only cheap, £25ish. If it was Teri-de 4 then would be worth a few bob

.

Connie Clark a boot. Original has yellow label.

And easy to detect as well as the legit ones have # 58486 scratched in the dead wax as have the pressings # 96977.

When you say dead wax, do you mean run off.

My copy just has 716-A

Please believe me, there are original issues of "Laws Of Love" a-plenty on eBay ALL THE TIME and they don't sell for more than £8-£20 (tops!). Now... the misspelled label copies... they do sell for ridiculous amounts of money.

Stuart, it looks pretty much like you've got a collection of reissues there. And if anyone would consider paying £25 for a Teri De reissue I'd love to meet him to sell him some more of the same.

Posted

the fury's on mirwood is a boot with performers "set me free" on tother side

You are right, set me free is on the B side.

Looks like a week end in Brid, not Mexico.

Must have a look at the other 300, may be something worth a bag of fish an chips.
