Guest fryer Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) "Cryin Towel" - Jimmy Radcliffe £215 Cryin__Towel_ca_.mp3 DO NOT BUY ANY ACETATES FROM THIS MAN HE HAS SOLD A NUMBER OF FAKES IN THE PAST, A NUMBER OF US RECEIVED FAKE ONES WITH BUBBLEJET PRINTED LABELS PRESSED ON NEW ACETATES. (dates confirmed by appolo mastering as new). He always claim its a mistake but then refuses refunds and uses fake anger to cover the fact he is knowingly defrauding. Paypal agree it was indeed a fraudulent transaction and closed his account and then he moved to another account. If you have a current paypal address please PM me the details for the ongoing fraud investigation myself and a couple of others are perusing ourself and with payal. Mangomn if you want to refund our money or send the real acetate we are all still waiting. If anyone has bought one, pull back the label and if its pure white underneath you have been had. Guest Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Mangomn2003 you got anything to say to this ? Yes.. It's Bunch-O-Rubish! I Did Have A Few Disc Put Together For Display Items For Both A Film And Venue Displays And That Chap Received One Of Those. We Had To Put Labels On Discs Because Many Didn't Have Them Or They Were Damaged. Extra Copies Where Just Put Into Sleeves With Leadsheets Unlabeled. These Were Personal Items Often Used Only To Give An Example Of What Jimmy, Other Writers Or The Publisher Had In Mind For The Song And Then Were Discarded. Many If Not Most Writers And Publishers Don't Have Copies Of Their Original Recordings Because Of That. Either Way Every Item I've Made Available Is The Rarest Of The Rare In Most Cases Less Than Five Still Exist In The World And Have Never Seen Formal Release Unlike The Bazillions Of "Mint" Copies Of Releases That Anyone Can Get Their Hands On. Soulsource Have Been Given Access To One Of The Great Hidden Collections That I've Had The Privilege To Sheppard Over For The Last 30+ Years.

Hold on you say bunch of rubbish then go on to admit it, so if you admit you sold me a reproduction then where is my refund or original that i paid for? and how did you make this "mistake" with at least 3 other people? So I've been told. I have an acitate of a JR track so do two other people but I haven't seen any more around I can't confirm if the acitate was recent but was told that Jimmy did some pressing of unreleased material in the 70's when he moved to LA. If the guy is pressing up shed loads then he IS out of order but if there are only 3 or 4 copies of a tune that has never reached vinyl and is likely never to do so I don't really have too much of an issue with it. They are still very rare after all. Edited November 27, 2008 by Nik Mak

I have an acitate of a JR track so do two other people but I haven't seen any more around I can't confirm if the acetate was recent but was told that Jimmy did some pressing of unreleased material in the late 70's when he moved to LA. If the guy is pressing up shed loads then he IS out of order but if there are only 3 or 4 copies of a tune that has never reached vinyl and is likely never to do so I don't really have too much of an issue with it. What you are suggesting would be fine if that was the case but its not is it. I would not have been interesting in £250 reproduction and it's not what he said he was selling. He has said it was a mistake but he has still refused to return my money or send me the original item, his paypal account was frozen but he moved to a new one so he could continue to sell here. I know for a fact 2 other people have received new acetates that were also NOT sold as reproductions through soul source. Edited November 26, 2008 by fryer

Your absolutely right didn't really get all the background but when you xplain it like that then the guy should pay up.I've checked mine and I beleive it to be an original from the 70's as mine is blank underneath the label and the glue is not synthetic my otherr original acitates from the same era feel the same too. It was also very fleckin hard to get the label off without tearing it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm surprised he is still able to get on here as I thought the site was moderated? I also wonder what JM would think of his son ripping people off like this? Nice way to honour your father.
