Paul-s Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 What does the LP go for now? TEMPESTS many thanks
Prophonics 2029 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Is that for a Mono or Stereo copy issue or demo.
soulfulmick Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 60, 70 quid. Some fcker paid £456 for a copy on JM's auction not long back, obviously more money than sense cos that's about £400 too much. Would have thought 60-70 is about right. Sold an issue not long back for £60 but can't remember whether it was mono or stereo Mick

Ken'll be along in a sec with stories of his Dutch Phillips one ...

Prophonics 2029 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Seen more issues than demos and more mono than stereo but I am not sure if I have seen a stereo demo, but Dave Flynn could have one. Top whack 75 then. I still reckon this is Paris. Edited November 4, 2008 by Prophonics 2029

Top whack 75 then. AND IN MY EXPERIENCE AGAIN TOTALLY DIFFERENT, NEARLY ALL THE COPIES IVE SEEN ARE STEREO ISSUES. THE MONO ISSUE IS VERY RARE AND SLIGHTLY DEEPER COLOUR RED THAN THE STEREO COPIES. THE STEREO WHITE DEMO IS ALSO QUITE TOUGH AND IV'E NEVER EVER COME ACROSS A MONO WHITE PROMO. DOES IT EXIST. OF COURSE WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THE FRENCH, DUTCH URUGUAYAN COPIES ETC, HOWEVER NON SHOULD SELL FOR ANY MORE THAN THE REALISTIC PRICES STATED ABOVE. BRI PINCH.

Prophonics 2029 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 A stereo demo on ebay last night forgot about it and went to bed but he did say it jumped on the first track and it was VG+ condition regardless.

As a big fan of this LP I've had a few go through my hands over the years! My current copy is a keeper though,as the sleeve is just so clean...no fading, tears, stickers or wear...and it also happens to be a Mono WD (MGS prefix vinyl/sleeve), which sounds great! If y'all didn't already know, a good friend of mine released this LP on CD last year on the Poker label...superb sound quality...includes the non-LP Smash 45's as well. Not a bad sleevenote either -ps No Japanese issue as far as I'm aware!
