Guest Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Found this album lurking at the back of my LP box: Keep The Faith Vol 3 - Joy Records (JOYS 225) I presume I bought this in the seventies Does anyone have any information as to why the album was made ? There are no sleeve notes , just the track listings. Was it created just to cash in on Northern Soul or was this a labour of love by an enthusiast? It certainly has a mixture of styles, not 100% Northern Soul but some soul tracks from the sixties as well. Side A That Beatin' Rhythm - Richard temple No Deposits - No Returns - Alvin Cash That's How It Is - Otis Clay You're Out Of My Mind - Viola Wills These Arms Of Mine - Albert Washington Do The Temptation Walk - Jackie Lee Side B Harlem Shuffle - Bob & Earl The Town I Live In - McKinley Mitchell Doin' The Ali Shuffle - Alvin Cash I Live The Life I Love - Willie parker What Is Soul - The Furys Would You Believe - Jackie Lee Appreciate any information on this album
AlanB Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I remember this coming out at the time. The 3 volumes were issued by President Records in early 70s featuring the types of things they had put out as 45s on their President and JayBoy labels. Alan

Paul R Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I bought all three when they came out. Must have been about 72. A good way to start collecting "Northern". I've still got them. Paul
