Pauldonnelly Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 (edited) READ ON.............. The recent Torch cd has raised £300 so far with orders still coming in. Cds paid for = £235 My Contributiuon= £100 Grand Total £335 Ive taken some expenses out for post and packaging plus cds etc leaving £300 as above I suggested I would pledge £2-50 for every cd ordered to the Stroke Foundation however I hope no one will be offended if I donate my bit ie £100 the McMillan Nurses, my reasons are simple. This Friday Steve Jackosn fine ole boy he is has his 50th party at his soul night in Spalding Lincs, he's funding the night to give everybody FREE ENTRY however the night is all about raising money for McMillan who looked after one of the worlds finest from Norwich during her recent illness. Mr and Mrs Laws Ive given Steve a few bits and hope the night is real winner for all the right reasons. Ive donated a 720mm x 500mm framed print of the Peterborough Phoenix Badge plus two photos of the Wirrina all-nighter. Kev was a regular at the Wirrina in the good ole day. so cant think of a better charity night to give it to. Photos will follow from Steve J later as I went over to his place this morning with bits and pieces, hope Steve can upload later tonight 1 of the Wirrina Print, one of the Stroke Foundation Chq and one of the McMillan Chq Ive had a few more copied today so if you want a CD of Jebb, Ellis and Day doing their stuff at the Torch live in late 1972...let me know Cheers and many thanks to everyone who has helped, its been great fun hearing for you all especially one fellar who I have not spoken to for 35 years!!!!!!! Send £5 cash or chq made payable to Paul Donnelly to, 204 Stonald Road Whittlesey PETERBOROUGH PE7 1QR Please ensure the address you wish your cd to be sent to is included allow 7 days for delivery. Simsy Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I mis read this and initially thought it was monies raised for the 'Stoke Foundation' and wondered if Kev Roberts really needs more money!? Joking aside, well done sir and Macmillan Cancer Support is a very worthwhile cause.
Guest Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 It's yourself, Toad and Chris L that should get the plaudits for coming up with the idea and doing all the hard work, so give ya selves a big round of applause for giving a load of old buggers some great memories and two very deserving charities some well needed dosh. Well done. Regards Ian
