This Time Of Night Thirty Years Or So Ago.........what Was You Doing

this time of night thirty years or so ago..........what was you doing,

not gone out tonight sitting here playing some tunes then,

i came across all goosebumpy, as i thought omg.

i would have been on the train on the way to wigan, no bag(got past that stage by now), just my gear and cash...... what tunes would i be hearing tonight....

most people that know me, will know that i like something a bit different, but hey lets here some oldies that bring back those memories

think it was the thought of the clocks going back that awakened this thought, always used think wow another hour of tunes

so starter for one.........

Erm think this should be in the All our yesterdays section but never mind, Cecil Washington comes to mind for me can't put a sound clip up coz don't know how to. You can do it for me if you like Kev .

I would have been looking forward to hearing The Delites, Lester Tipton, New Wanderers, The Agents, Vickie Baines all newies for Searling at the time & seriously doin the biz for me..............hadnt quite made the difference between 6ts n 7ts either, they were all great records & I was blissfully unaware of any divide, I just wanted to dance................I was also hitting M's after RS set & getting my pre Wigan education too, altho' at the time I didnt realise this...........it was just another exciting weekend of soul.

Funny you should mention the train Pete neither me or Kev could remember what time it used to get into Wigan you lot were already on it and I used to get on at Warrington but the time escapes me. Can you remember, not that important but it's so annoying when you can't remember these little things.

I can't really remember but I don't think the Casino doors were open when we usually got there
