John Reed Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) Didn't the guy come on hear trying to sell may have done better in sales. Freddie Butler what a record sor I have seen it for a lot less than that £700 800 It sold for $5.2k on ebay in January at the x-rate at that time that equates to £2.6k, which is still about about £800 more than this one. Is this the credit crunch biting or was it just two mad ebayers Edited October 23, 2008 by John Reed

Premium Stuff Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) Mikki Farrow is bargain at that in my opinion . A genuinely rare one these days, held back by understandable lack of clarity over authenticity, given that the boot is a 'true' counterfeit designed to confuse, which keeps down the price. It's a hard one now and a classic Detroit double sider too. Could It Be is the side for me. By comparison, too much pricewise for the Freddy Butler on Wheelsville - demand driven, but it's not that rare IMVFHO Cheers Richard premium_stuff@hotmail.com Edited October 23, 2008 by Premium Stuff

Liamgp Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Are the Tommy Tucker and Syng McGowan sale prices bargains, OTT or average?
Chalky Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Are the Tommy Tucker and Syng McGowan sale prices bargains, OTT or average? Always thought Syng McGowan was £120, £150 tops. Its not like you see a copy just every couple of years is it, it does come up for sale somewhere fairly regularly.

Guest Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Are the Tommy Tucker and Syng McGowan sale prices bargains, OTT or average? Soul Bowl had Syng McGowan originals for sale for around £5, every week for a while in the early 80's, so there must be a lot of copies out there in collections.
Pete S Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Are the Tommy Tucker and Syng McGowan sale prices bargains, OTT or average? I can't understand how Syng McGowan can be above 50 quid to be honest. The Tommy Tucker is very very rare, UK only, I sold a mint demo on here for 150 two weeks ago, though it only sold after it appeared on Manships auction!
Liamgp Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Why would London release a record in the UK that hadn't been a US release - let alone a US hit? To cash in on the UK blues boom in the 60s?

No idea really - though people thought, for a long long time, that Chubby Checker's YJDK only ever came out in the UK
