I don't know if the material is drying up but the new 50 track cd Golden Age Of NS vol 2 has at 33 tracks that have already appeared on cd.

What's the strategy behind this?

Is this like a CDs oldies scene where people will only buy CDs with tracks they know from CDs that they've already got?

This is exactly why I don't buy compilation CDs anymore. I do not want to continue to purchase the same songs over and over again.
